DESCRIPTION:The American Indian Family Center is inviting you to a Traditional Cedar Healing Ceremony on Wednesday\, August 16\, 2023\, from 4 to 8PM. The location is Phalen Regional Park\, 1600 Phalen Drive\, Saint Paul\, MN (a small shelter that fits 50).\n\nThe spiritual leaders will be Pebaamibines and Sharyl Whitehawk\, respectively.\n\nFood will be served and feel free to bring a dish to pass if you are able. Ladies are recommended to wear skirts if possible. Please bring either a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on.\n\nWe hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:Join the Ho-Chunk Nation at beautiful Lake Phalen in Saint Paul\, MN for a FREE family fun 5K Run/Walk Event!\n\n\n\n\n\nAs American Indians\, we will gather for this 11th annual 5K Run/Walk\, to create healing\, inspire healthy lifestyles\, and take an active stance against Type II diabetes and childhood obesity. Health and wellness is an American Indian tradition and the participants of this 5K will be walking/running with their individual intentions. All levels are encouraged and welcomed to attend. Due to the pandemic\, this will be their first in-person event\, in two years!!! We hope that you can make it again – or for your first time! This event has been made possible by our incredibly generous and supportive sponsors\, the Ho-Chunk Nation and Ho-Chunk Nation Youth Services\, the Notah Begay III Foundation\, and our local heroes\, Native Roots Radio\, American Indian Community Development Corporation\, and the Native American Community Clinic.
