[Virtual Event] Hennepin County Library (HCLIB) – Mary Ann Key Book Club: A Community Discussion of “An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States for Young People”

May 12, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Mary Ann Key Book Club uses reading as a catalyst for conversation as we attempt to better understand past and current injustices – including systemic racism, other forms of discrimination, and bias that affects marginalized communities.

Join columnist Myron Medcalf and moderator Ramona Kitto Stately in an online conversation with Native American community leaders Sharon Day, Marlena Myles, Dr. Katie Phillips and Pearl Walker-Swaney. Panelists will discuss An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States for Young People. Collaborator: Star Tribune. Sponsor: Friends of the Hennepin County Library.

Note: Although we invite you to read An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States for Young People before this event, it is not required. Please note that panelists will be discussing all aspects of the book.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This program hosted on Zoom. Register here: https://bit.ly/may12mak
