May 14, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 11:30 pm
Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center is excited to celebrate the fifth year since opening its doors in 2017!!
These past five years have been filled with an abundance of wisdom, love, and support as well as challenges and growth as they continue to elevate their work in building, supporting, and cultivating opportunities for Native, Black, Brown, and Indigenous peoples through cultural arts and activism.
Celebrate with IRoots on Saturday, May 14th from 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM with live music, cultural presentations, food, vendors, local craft makers, and visual artists showcased throughout the day.
At 3:00 pm, Transforming Generations in partnership with IRoots is launching its summer children’s storytime event, Drag Tale Times! In partnership with IRoots, this series is a way to create a space that engages families with local Asian drag performers through children’s literature; while imparting sincere lessons on the inclusion and appreciation for varying self-expressions amongst LGBTQ+ people within our communities.
